Crab Artichoke Dip
Description
The Crab Artichoke Dip combines the smoothness of cream cheese and mayonnaise with the briny flavors of artichoke hearts and fresh crabmeat. Minced garlic and a touch of cayenne pepper add depth and slight heat. Parmesan cheese adds umami and richness, while green onions and finely chopped red bell pepper contribute mild sharpness and color.
Once mixed, the dip is baked at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 to 30 minutes until bubbly and golden around the edges. The result is a dip with a creamy texture, suitable for spreading on crackers or bread. Preparing it in advance allows flavors to meld.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces cream cheese room temperature
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 14 ounces artichoke hearts chopped
- 1/2 pound cooked crabmeat picked through for shells
- 1 cup Parmesan Cheese grated
- 1/4 cup green onions sliced
- 1/2 red bell pepper chopped finely
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl and spoon into baking dish before baking for 25-30 minutes.
Notes
- Use room temperature cream cheese for easier mixing and a smooth dip texture.
- Serve warm for best flavor and creaminess; the dip can be reheated gently if needed.
- Check crabmeat for shells thoroughly before mixing to avoid unpleasant bites.
