Crack Corn Salad

Crack Corn Salad combines sweet corn, chopped crispy bacon, green onions, jalapeño, cheddar cheese, and a tangy ranch dressing to create a creamy, flavorful dish with a hint of heat. The mixture is chilled before serving to meld flavors and provide a refreshing side or snack option that balances savory, spicy, and creamy elements.

Description

The Crack Corn Salad features fresh sweet corn paired with cooked, finely chopped bacon for a salty, smoky bite. Green onions and diced jalapeño add layers of mild pungency and heat. Cheddar cheese introduces a sharp creaminess.

A homemade ranch dressing made with mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, garlic, lemon juice, dill, and spices coats the salad ingredients thoroughly, giving a rich and tangy flavor profile. Chilling the salad allows the flavors to combine and the textures to soften slightly, making it a refreshing dish.

This salad works well as a side for grilled meats or as part of a picnic or potluck spread. The balance of veggie sweetness with creamy and smoky notes makes it versatile and satisfying.
