Creamy Balsamic Dressing
Description
Creamy Balsamic Dressing combines key ingredients like olive oil and two types of vinegar—white wine and balsamic—to create a balanced acidic base. The addition of heavy cream softens the sharpness of the vinegars, resulting in a smooth, creamy texture. Flavored with oregano, grated garlic, Dijon mustard, and a mild sweetener, the dressing achieves a nuanced taste profile that enhances green salads without overpowering them.
The dressing is prepared by blending all ingredients until they emulsify and thicken slightly, which integrates the oil and vinegar phases for a consistent pourable texture. The grated garlic infuses fresh aromatics, while the Dijon mustard acts as an emulsifier as well as lending a gentle tang. This makes the dressing versatile for various leafy greens or as a drizzle over roasted vegetables.
