Creamy Lemon Parmesan Scallops

Creamy Lemon Parmesan Scallops offer seared scallops with a golden crust served in a bright, rich sauce made from heavy cream, chicken broth, lemon juice, and Parmesan cheese. The sauce is thickened with cornstarch for a smooth texture that complements the tender seafood. Herbs finish the dish with freshness, suitable for an elegant meal.

Description

This recipe starts with scallops seared in hot olive oil until golden brown on both sides, creating a flavorful crust while keeping the interior tender. The pan is cleared and combined with a sauce blending heavy cream, chicken broth, fresh lemon juice, and Parmesan, which is thickened gently with cornstarch dissolved in water and simmered until luscious.

The scallops are returned to the sauce briefly to warm through and absorb its flavors. The creamy sauce balances richness with citrus brightness and umami from the cheese. Garnishing with fresh parsley and herbs adds a hint of herbal aroma and color contrast.

This dish pairs well with light sides or can be served as a seafood entrée, offering a refined but approachable seafood preparation.
