Crock Pot Chicken Tacos

Perfect for a busy weeknight, these Crock Pot Chicken Tacos are a flavorful and hearty dinner the whole family will love. Only 5 minutes of prep!

Ingredients

  • 3 chicken breast boneless skinless
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/2 onion diced
  • 2 jalapeños diced and seeds removed
  • 16 ounces salsa
  • 1 diced tomatoes with green chilis 15 ounce can
  • tortillas
  • Taco toppings

Instructions

  1. Spray the bottom of the crockpot with cooking spray. Place chicken breasts, taco seasoning, onion, jalapeños, salsa, and diced tomatoes with green chilis into the pot.
  2. Cover and cook on HIGH for 3-4 hours. Remove chicken, shred it with two forks, and put it back into the pot. Stir to combine it with the sauce.
  3. Serve with your favorite tortillas and toppings!

Notes

  • This shredded chicken freezes great! Keep in in the freezer in an airtight container for up to 3 months. Thaw in the fridge before reheating.
  • Make sure to add the shredded chicken back into the crockpot and give it a good stir so it can soak up all the amazing flavor!
  • You can use frozen chicken breasts, but the cooking time will be more like 4-6 hours on HIGH.
