Crock Pot Corn on the Cob
Description
After removing husks, the corn ears are brushed lightly with olive oil and optionally cut. They are seasoned with salt and pepper then placed in the slow cooker with a small amount of water at the bottom. Cooking on high heat for several hours steams and gently cooks the corn kernels through.
Once the corn is hot and brightly colored, butter is added and the corn is tossed to coat evenly, enhancing richness and taste. This approach works well for cooking larger quantities without needing stovetop or grill attention.
Crock Pot Corn on the Cob is a convenient addition to summer meals, BBQs, or anytime fresh corn is available and you want a simple cooking method that doesn’t require watching closely.
