Instructions
- Get out and measure your ingredients.
- Grease a 10 x 7 inch oval baking dish. Sliced croissants in half, lengthwise
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon zest and sugar. Soak croissants briefly in the mixture but be careful to not soak each for more than a minute.
- Now arrange the croissants in the baking dish. It’s fine if they overlap. Cover with a plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or until you are ready to bake.
- When ready, preheat the oven to 375 F/ 190 C. Remove the plastic wrap and bake uncovered in the middle of the oven for 25-30 minutes.
- Remove, let cool down for about 5 minutes. Serve with berries.
- Slice and serve.
- With syrup and whipped cream. If you would like to see a list of our favorite sides we have the all listed here. Enjoy every bite!
Notes
- Don't soak your croissants for too long or they'll fall apart.
- Be sure to let the bread chill for 30 minutes to allow everything to soak in properly.
