Curry Popcorn

Curry Popcorn is freshly popped popcorn coated with a homemade curry seasoning blend made from yellow curry powder, salt, and sugar. The popcorn kernels are popped in coconut or vegetable oil and then tossed with the spiced mixture to create an aromatic, mildly savory, and slightly sweet snack. This treat combines popcorn's crunchy texture with the warm spices of curry powder that make it distinct.

Description

To make Curry Popcorn, yellow curry powder is combined with salt and sugar to form a balanced seasoning that offers warmth from the curry spices along with a touch of sweetness and saltiness. Popcorn kernels are heated with coconut or vegetable oil in a large pot until fully popped, providing a fresh base with crispy, light pieces. Once popped, the curry seasoning is sprinkled over the hot popcorn while stirring to evenly coat each piece.

This snack is suitable for those who enjoy spiced, seasoned popcorn as an alternative to traditional butter or cheese varieties. The mild curry flavor adds a unique twist without being overly spicy or heavy, making it pleasing for casual snacking while watching movies or socializing.
