Deviled Eggs Recipe

These Deviled Eggs are made with hard-boiled eggs filled with a creamy yolk mixture blended with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, white vinegar, and seasoned with salt and pepper. The eggs are garnished with paprika and parsley for mild smoky and fresh herbal notes. The filling's smooth texture pairs well with the firm egg whites, creating a classic appetizer with delicate balance.

Description

The Deviled Eggs Recipe involves boiling eggs until hard, then cooling and peeling them. Each egg is sliced lengthwise, and the yolks are removed and mashed into a creamy filling with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and white vinegar, lightly seasoned with salt and black pepper. The filling is spooned back into the egg whites, creating a rich, tangy contrast to the firm whites. A sprinkle of paprika adds mild smokiness and color, while parsley leaves provide a fresh touch.

This dish serves well as an appetizer or party snack, offering a simple balance of creamy and firm textures. It can be prepared ahead and refrigerated until serving. The recipe is straightforward and yields a classic savory bite.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 3 egg large
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon white vinegar
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • Pinch of paprika
  • parsley for garnish, leaves

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the eggs to the pot and cook them on medium-high heat for 14 minutes, until hard-boiled.
  2. While the eggs are boiling, prepare an ice-water bath. Once the eggs are hard-boiled, place them in the ice-water bath so they can cool completely.
  3. Peel the hard-boiled eggs. Slice them in half lengthwise. Remove the yolks with a spoon. Place the yolks in a bowl.
  4. Mash the yolks with a fork. Add the mayonnaise, mustard, and vinegar to the bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Mix well until smooth.
  5. Spoon the mixture into the halved hard-boiled eggs. Sprinkle the paprika over the eggs and garnish with parsley leaves.
