Double Chocolate Protein Muffins

Double Chocolate Protein Muffins combine rolled oats, ripe banana, chocolate whey protein powder, almond milk, eggs, and dark chocolate chips to create moist, chocolate-flavored muffins. The batter is blended smooth to incorporate oats and banana evenly before folding in chocolate chips. The muffins bake with a tender crumb and a rich chocolate taste, suitable for those seeking a protein-enriched snack or breakfast option.

Description

These Double Chocolate Protein Muffins use a base of rolled oats and ripe banana combined with chocolate-flavored whey protein powder, eggs, and almond milk. Blending the oats and banana with wet ingredients results in a smooth batter that evenly distributes flavor and texture. Baking soda and baking powder provide leavening for a light rise. Dark chocolate chips are folded into the batter for pockets of semi-sweet chocolate throughout the muffins, with extra chips added on top for a chocolatey crust. The muffins bake at 350°F until a toothpick inserted comes out clean, offering a moist texture with a balance of natural banana sweetness and chocolate richness. They are well suited for a protein-enhanced snack or quick breakfast treat.

  • Select low-sugar dark chocolate chips like Hu Kitchen’s or Lily’s to keep sugar content lower.
  • Mix the batter thoroughly but avoid over mixing after adding chocolate chips to maintain muffin softness.
