Easy Chipotle Chicken Tacos
Description
This recipe begins by cutting chicken breast into small pieces, then tossing them with chipotle chili powder, taco seasoning, and garlic powder for smoky spice. Cooking the chicken in oil helps keep it juicy and allows the seasonings to coat evenly. After cooking, the chicken is removed from the pan to warm tortillas with cheese until the cheese melts. Finally, the chicken is added back in and the tortillas folded. A fresh topping made from chopped cilantro, red onion, and jalapeño adds texture and flavor contrast, enhancing the overall experience.
Tacos can be served with extra sides like guacamole, fresh mango salsa, restaurant-style salsa, or creamy cilantro-jalapeño dip to customize the flavor profile. Using a choice of tortillas—corn, flour, or a blend—adds flexibility to suit preferences. Cheese types like pepper jack, Monterey jack, or cheddar offer flavor variations. These tacos work well for a casual meal, providing a blend of smoky heat and fresh, vibrant garnishes.
For best results, ensure chicken pieces are small for quick, even cooking. Adjust seasoning to taste after cooking and consider adding extra oil during cooking to maintain moisture. The recipe notes suggest possible toppings and cheese alternatives for versatility.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs chicken breast (cut into small pieces)
- 2 teaspoons chipotle chile powder
- 2 teaspoons taco seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions
