Easy Cranberry Sauce
Description
The Easy Cranberry Sauce recipe starts with combining orange juice and both white and brown sugars in a pot, which is brought to a boil while stirring to dissolve the sugars evenly. Fresh cranberries are then added and cooked for around 10 to 12 minutes, during which the berries burst and the mixture begins to thicken gently, developing a vibrant ruby color.
The resulting sauce provides a fresh, tangy flavor from the cranberries combined with sweetness from the sugars and citrus notes from the orange juice. This preserves the slight texture of the cranberries while integrating their flavors throughout the sauce.
This sauce is commonly served chilled or at room temperature alongside turkey, chicken, or pork to add a bright contrast on the plate. It can complement festive or everyday meals requiring a fruity accent.
