Ingredients
- 1 loaf french or italian bread
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter Softened (1 stick)
- 1 TBSP fresh parsley chopped
- 3 cloves garlic finely minced
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt omit if using salted butter
- black pepper to taste

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Slice bread loaf lengthwise and place on a baking sheet, cut side up.
- Mix together softened butter, garlic, parsley, salt and pepper until fully combined. Spread butter mixture over bread evenly, all the way to the edges.
- Bake for 8 minutes. Finish bread under broiler for 1-2 minutes, or until golden brown. Watch carefully while it is under the broiler as it can burn easily.
Notes
- *Be sure butter is softened for best results
- *Do not add salt if you are using salted butter
