Easy Homemade Fried Pickles

Crispy fried pickles coated in a seasoned batter bring a crunchy and tangy snack or appetizer that's easy to prepare at home. Dill pickle slices are dipped into a spiced batter with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and hot sauce for a balanced flavor, then deep fried until golden. The result is a crispy exterior with a juicy pickle bite inside, perfect for serving warm with dipping sauce.

Description

Easy Homemade Fried Pickles start with dill pickle slices that have been drained and dried to remove excess moisture. A batter made from all-purpose flour mixed with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, pepper, hot sauce, and water adds a flavorful coating. After heating vegetable oil to 375°F in a heavy pot, the pickles are dipped in the batter and fried in batches for 1 to 2 minutes per side until golden brown.

The frying process creates a crispy and slightly spicy crust that contrasts with the tangy, juicy dill pickles inside. The quick cooking time ensures the pickles remain tender without losing their characteristic tartness. This recipe yields a crunchy, freshly made snack suitable for casual gatherings or complementing burgers and sandwiches.

Serving suggestions include accompanying fried pickles with your choice of dipping sauce while still warm. The frying oil must be maintained at the correct temperature to avoid soggy or greasy results.
