Edamame

Edamame (or mukimame) is a preparation of immature soybeans of Far Eastern origin, consumed in Japan, Korea, China and Hawaii.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 8 oz. edamame frozen
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • fleur de sel

Instructions

  1. Bring a large quantity of salted water to a boil in a pot.
  2. Add the edamame and, once boiling again, cook uncovered for 5 minutes over high heat.
  3. Drain the edamame and sprinkle with fleur de sel.
  4. Serve hot. Only eat the soybeans that are inside the pod.
