Everything Bagel Seasoning

This Everything Bagel Seasoning recipe is nutty, crunchy, garlicky, and simply delicious. It’s the simplest of things to throw together - six ingredients and five minutes - and the flavor is irresistible.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons white sesame seeds
  • 2 Tablespoons poppy seeds
  • 1 Tablespoon black sesame seeds
  • 2 Tablespoons onion dried minced
  • 2 Tablespoons garlic dried, minced
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt or coarse sea salt

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a small bowl.
  2. Stir to combine.

Notes

  • Store seasoning mix in an airtight container, or jar, for up to 6 months.
  • Make sure to use DRIED minced onion and garlic found in the spice aisle (not freshly minced).
  • Do not use table salt. Use a coarse kosher salt or sea salt.
  • Black sesame seeds can often be found in Asian food aisle. Or, you may find "tuxedo" sesame seeds, which is a blend of white and black together (you'll need a total of 3 Tablespoons).
  • Use on Bagels: brush plain bagel with water then sprinkle seasoning on the bagel.
  • More uses: Season butter/cream cheese with bagel seasoning mix. Sprinkle on eggs, avocado toast. Sprinkle over popcorn, hummus, and meats.
