French Fry Hot Dish

French Fry Hot Dish layers browned ground beef seasoned with dried onion, creamy canned soups, cheddar cheese, and frozen French fries baked together into a hearty one-dish meal. The mixture of soups creates a smooth sauce that binds the ingredients, while the fries on top provide a classic, crispy-tender texture after baking. This casserole is a comforting, practical dish that brings convenience using pantry staples and satisfies with its savory, cheesy flavor.

Description

French Fry Hot Dish starts by browning ground beef with dried onion seasoning, then draining excess fat. The cooked beef is combined with cream of corn, cream of celery, and cream of chicken soups, along with shredded cheddar cheese, resulting in a thick, flavorful filling. This mixture is spread evenly into a greased glass baking dish, topped with frozen French fries arranged in a single layer.

Baked at 350°F for an hour, the dish cooks until the fries turn golden and slightly crisp, while the beef-soup mixture bubbles gently beneath. The soups act as a creamy binder, softening the fries just enough while retaining some chew, creating a textured contrast. The cheddar cheese enriches the filling, adding sharpness and depth to the savory flavors.

French Fry Hot Dish is served warm as a filling main course or family-style comfort meal. Its components require minimal prep and common ingredients, making it practical for weeknight dinners or potlucks. The layering of protein, sauce, and potatoes delivers satisfying comfort food that combines textures and classic American casserole flavors effectively.
