French Onion Beef Casserole
Description
This recipe layers cooked egg noodles with lean ground beef that is browned and seasoned. Cream of mushroom soup along with French onion dip adds creaminess and deep onion flavor to the mixture. Once combined, the mixture is placed in a baking dish and topped with fried onions, which add a crunchy texture after baking.
Baked uncovered at 350°F for 20 minutes allows the casserole to heat through and the topping to crisp. This dish is convenient for weeknight dinners given its simple ingredients and manageable preparation steps.
Seasoning with salt and pepper is to taste, and freshly chopped parsley can be added for color and freshness when serving. The recipe yields about six servings, making it suitable for families or leftovers.
