Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 ½ cup coarsely chopped small onion, about 1 medium onion
- ¼ teaspoon salt for onions
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 8 ounces softened cream cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt for seasoning
- 1 pinch ground pepper

Instructions
- In a medium-sized skillet, melt 3 tablespoons unsalted butter over medium-low heat.
- Add 1 ½ cup coarsely chopped small onion, ¼ teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon granulated sugar.
- Cook the onions for 25-30 minutes until they are a deep golden brown color.
- Allow the caramelized onions to cool.
- Add the onions, 8 ounces softened cream cheese 1 cup sour cream, 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce, ½ teaspoon onion powder, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon salt, and 1 pinch ground pepper in a medium bowl. Mix until combined.
- Cover and chill in the refrigerator until you are ready to enjoy! Serve with potato chips, crostini, or veggies!
