Ingredients
- 2 lices whole wheat bread
- mayonnaise as needed (optional)
- 1 tablespoon butter unsalted
- 1 egg large
- salt kosher salt, to taste
- black pepper kosher salt, to taste
- 1 lice cheddar cheese
- avocado optional, slices
- tomato optional, slices
Instructions
- Toast the whole wheat bread slices until golden and crispy. Spread the toast with mayonnaise if using.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Crack the egg into the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Flip the egg once it is firm and cook the other side until it reaches your desired doneness.
- Place the slice of cheddar cheese on one slice of toasted bread, top with the fried egg, then cover with avocado or tomato slices if using. Place the second slice of bread on top and serve warm.
