Description
The Fruit Salad features a diverse mix of fruits, several of which are drained canned varieties such as apple pie filling, pineapple tidbits, pears, peaches, mandarin oranges, and maraschino cherries. Grapes and fresh bananas add freshness and texture variation. The assembled salad is gently tossed to combine the flavors, and the bananas are sliced and coated with lemon juice before folding in to prevent discoloration.

The salad keeps well stored covered in the refrigerator for up to five days, making it convenient for meal prepping or parties. Adding the bananas just before serving maintains their freshness and keeps the overall texture appealing.
Ingredients
- 21 ounces apple pie filling diced
- 20 ounces pineapple tidbits drained
- 29 ounces pear drained and diced, halves
- 15.25 ounces peach drained and diced, sliced
- 11 ounces mandarin orange drained
- 1 1/4 cups grapes halved
- 16 ounces maraschino cherries drained
- 2 banana sliced, large
- lemon juice for bananas
Instructions
- In a large bowl, add in the apple pie filling. If you haven’t chopped the apples, do that now.
- Add in the pineapple tidbits, diced pears, diced peaches, oranges, grapes, and cherries. Stir until combined.
- Just before serving, slice up the bananas and sprinkle with lemon juice or Fruit Fresh before adding them to the bowl of fruit.
- Once the bananas are adding to the bowl, fold them into the fruit salad.
- Cover and store in the fridge for up to 5 days.
