Game Day Dip
Description
In this dip, equal parts ground beef and sausage are cooked and drained, then combined in a slow cooker with Velveeta cheese, cream cheese, and diced tomatoes with green chilies. The slow cooking process melts the cheeses and integrates the flavors, resulting in a creamy, flavorful dip that is both savory and mildly spicy from the chilies.
The dip is cooked for about two hours on high, with occasional stirring to ensure even melting and consistency. It is served warm, typically paired with tortilla chips for dipping, making it a popular choice for game day or social events.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound ground sausage your favorite variety
- 16 ounces Velveeta cheese cubed
- 10 ounce diced tomatoes with green chilies canned, brand: ROTEL
