Ingredients
For the ginger syrup
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp ginger sliced/chopped, fresh
- 1 rosemary small sprig
For the poinsettia cocktail
- Cointreau
- cranberry juice
- sparkling wine or Champagne or Prosecco
Instructions
- Combine all the syrup ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Simmer until the sugar is dissolved then remove from the heat and cool completely. Strain out the ginger and rosemary.
- Pour a few teaspoons of syrup into champagne flutes followed by a shot of Cointreau, cranberry juice and top with sparkling wine of your choice.
- Serve immediately.
