Ginisang Sardinas at Miswa

Sardines with vermicelli noodles stew is a hearty and tasty dish you'll love with steamed rice. It's easy to make and budget-friendly, too.

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
- 1 onion, peeled and sliced thinly
- 2 medium Roma tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 3 cans (5.5 ounces each) tomato-based Sardines
- 2 cups water
- 2 ounces miswa noodles
- salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
- In a pot over medium heat, heat oil. Add onions and garlic and cook until softened.
- Add tomatoes and continue to cook, mashing with the back of a spoon, until slightly softened.
- Add fish sauce and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 1 to 2 minutes.
- Add sardines and water. Bring to a boil.
- Add miswa and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 2 to 4 minutes or until noodles are just softened.
- Season with salt and pepper. Serve hot.
Notes
- Add a couple of minced chili peppers or a few dashes of hot sauce for a kick of spice. You can also use the RED variety, which has chili added.
