Good Digestion Celery Juice
Description
Good Digestion Celery Juice involves soaking bulked celery stalks, cucumber, orange, and lemon for 15 minutes in a water and apple cider vinegar mixture to cleanse and enhance the ingredients before juicing. The fresh produce is then juiced according to the equipment's instructions, followed by straining through a fine mesh to remove pulp and ensure a smooth consistency.
The resulting juice combines celery's fresh, slightly bitter profile with the coolness of cucumber and bright citrus notes from orange and lemon. The pre-soak step with apple cider vinegar mildly affects the flavor and may aid in removing residue from the produce.
This juice is meant to be consumed immediately or refrigerated for up to five days in an airtight container, ensuring freshness and potential digestive benefits from the ingredients.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds celery washed, soaked, and chopped, organic
- 2 cucumber washed, soaked, and chopped, large, organic
- 1 orange washed, soaked, and chopped, navel, large
- 1/2 lemon
Instructions
- Soak all ingredients in a bath of apple cider vinegar and water for 15 minutes prior to juicing. (I use about 1/2 cup of cider vinegar per 1 gallon of water when I soak my vegetables).
- Follow the instructions according to your specific juicer (I use a Champion juicer). Once all ingredients are juiced, strain the juice through a fine-mesh strainer to remove the pulp. Drink immediately or store in an air-tight jar in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
