Gooey Monkey Bread

Gooey Monkey Bread is made by coating buttermilk biscuit dough pieces in cinnamon sugar, layering them in a bundt pan, and topping with a bubbling brown sugar and butter syrup. After baking, the loaf is inverted to reveal a sticky, pull-apart bread with a caramelized crust and soft inside. The combination of cinnamon, sugar, and buttery syrup creates rich sweetness and texture contrasts.

Description

This monkey bread uses refrigerated buttermilk biscuit dough, quartered and coated in a cinnamon and sugar mixture. Arranged in a bundt pan, the dough pieces bake together while a syrup made by boiling butter with brown sugar coats and caramelizes during baking. The result is individual pieces that pull apart easily, with a soft, tender interior and sticky, sweet exterior. The cinnamon sugar gives a warm spiced note, and the syrup adds a luscious gooey coating.

Monkey bread is typically served warm and makes a sweet breakfast or snack, enjoyed by pulling apart the sticky pieces. It's effective for sharing due to its assembly form.

The note about kitchen timers linked to instruction times suggests attention to baking time accuracy to avoid over- or under-baking.
