Ground Beef Burrito Bowl
Description
This burrito bowl begins with sautéed green bell peppers and red onions seasoned with oregano, salt, and pepper, cooked until tender-crisp. Ground beef is browned and combined with taco seasoning and water to create a flavorful, moist meat filling. The base consists of steamed rice and black beans for wholesome grains and protein. Romaine lettuce provides a fresh, crisp foundation for the bowl.
The bowl is layered with the seasoned meat and vegetables, then topped with shredded white cheddar, corn salsa, tomato salsa or pico de gallo, and guacamole or sliced avocado. Sour cream and fresh cilantro add creaminess and herbal notes, while lime wedges provide acidity to brighten the flavors.
This dish is well-suited for a casual, customizable meal where each component combines to deliver a rich, savory, and fresh taste experience, with contrasting textures from creamy avocado, crunchy lettuce, and tender meat and vegetables.
