High-Protein French Toast with Chocolate and Peanut Butter
Description
High-Protein French Toast with Chocolate and Peanut Butter uses a mixture of egg whites, unsweetened vanilla almond milk, chocolate protein powder, and cocoa powder to soak slices of bread. The soak allows the bread to absorb the flavored custard thoroughly, creating a tender and moist interior once cooked. Cooking the bread on a medium-heated griddle until golden on both sides develops a slightly crisp surface while maintaining softness inside.
The topping of warmed, melted natural peanut butter adds a creamy and rich layer that complements the chocolate undertones, while the mini chocolate chips provide little bursts of sweetness. This combination enhances the flavor without overwhelming the protein focus of the dish.
Prepared with healthier ingredient options like almond milk and using protein powder, this version of French toast offers a nutritious twist. It is best served fresh to enjoy the contrasting textures of the crispy edges and smooth peanut butter topping.
