Homemade Chai Latte Mix

Homemade Chai Latte Mix blends sugar, instant tea, powdered creamers, dry milk, and a selection of warm spices including cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, white pepper, coriander, and ginger. The mix combines to create a fragrant, spicy powder that can be quickly transformed into a chai latte by mixing with hot water, milk, or tea. It offers the convenience of chai flavors without brewing from scratch and can be adjusted to taste or made into a 'dirty chai' by adding espresso shots.

Description

This Homemade Chai Latte Mix recipe combines dry ingredients: granulated sugar, instant tea, two types of powdered non-dairy coffee creamer, brown sugar, nonfat dry milk powder, and a blend of ground spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, white pepper, coriander, and ginger. After mixing, the ingredients are powdered further in a blender or food processor to ensure an even, fine texture. The prepared mix can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for several months. To make a chai latte, the mix is stirred into hot water, milk, or black tea in specified amounts, creating a spicy and creamy drink. Adding espresso shots creates a 'dirty chai,' enhancing the coffee flavor. This mix provides a flavorful chai experience without regular preparation. The recipe yields about five cups of mix.
