Homemade Garlic Bread Recipe
Description
In this Homemade Garlic Bread Recipe, softened butter is mixed with minced garlic and parsley and seasoned with salt and black pepper. The mixture is evenly spread on halved French or Italian bread and baked at 350°F. After baking, shredded Parmesan is sprinkled on top and the bread is broiled briefly until browned, creating a golden cheesy crust. This bread offers a comforting taste of garlic with a tender interior and crisp edges.
The baking and broiling steps add texture contrast, while the optional Parmesan cheese lends richness and a slightly salty flavor. This bread pairs well with soups, pasta dishes, or salads.
For best results, consume the garlic bread immediately, or keep it warm at low oven heat for up to 30 minutes to avoid drying out. It can be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to five days but does not freeze well. To reheat, wrap portions in foil and warm in a 350°F oven until heated through. Various loaf-style breads can be used, and butter can be substituted with olive oil if preferred.
