Homemade Peanut Butter

This recipe shows how to make smooth homemade peanut butter using roasted peanuts and a food processor or blender. The stepwise blending method transforms dry chopped peanuts into a creamy, warm, and fragrant nut butter. It’s a straightforward way to enjoy fresh peanut butter without additives, tailored to your desired texture and smoothness.

Description

Homemade Peanut Butter is achieved by processing roasted peanuts in a powerful blender or food processor until they transform from dry and gritty chopped nuts into a creamy spread. The process involves several blending sessions at low and medium speeds, scraping the sides regularly to ensure even consistency. As the peanuts release their oils, the mixture changes texture, becoming thick, grainy, and finally smooth and warm. This natural peanut butter contains only peanuts, without added sugar or salt, allowing full control over the flavor and texture.

The richness and warmth come from the friction during blending, highlighting the nutty aroma and flavor inherent in roasted peanuts. This kind of peanut butter can be used in sandwiches, baking, or cooking and makes a wholesome alternative to commercial brands.

Storing the peanut butter in the refrigerator keeps it fresh for several weeks while retaining its creamy texture. No additional stabilizers are needed, making this a simple, natural nut butter option.
