Honey Mustard Pulled Pork Pretzel Sliders

Honey Mustard Pulled Pork Pretzel Sliders combine slow-roasted pork shoulder with a tangy-sweet honey mustard sauce served on soft pretzel rolls. The pork is browned, then oven-roasted until tender enough to pull apart with forks, while the honey mustard glaze adds flavor before serving. These sliders offer a sweet, savory, and slightly tangy sandwich option.

Description

The recipe begins by removing the netting from the boneless pork shoulder and browning it on all sides in a heavy pot to develop a crust. Then the pork is roasted in the oven at a low temperature for about four hours, allowing the meat to become tender and easy to shred. Meanwhile, a sauce combining honey, raspberry jam, spicy brown mustard, mustard seeds, and apple cider vinegar is prepared, delivering a complex blend of sweetness, fruitiness, mustard heat, and acidity.

After roasting, half the honey mustard sauce is poured over the pork, which is then returned uncovered to the oven briefly to set the glaze. The pork is pulled apart with forks to create tender shreds, which are served piled on sliced pretzel hoagie rolls with more sauce spooned on top. The soft pretzel rolls provide a chewy, slightly salty contrast to the rich pulled pork and tangy sauce.
