Easy homemade hot fudge sauce recipe that is the perfect topping for your bowl of ice cream!

Ingredients
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
- In a small saucepan mix together sugar and cocoa until combined. Add cream and stir.
- Bring to a boil and boil for 1 minute.
- Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. Stir until butter is melted. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Yes, it needs to be refrigerated. It will keep for up to two weeks as long as it's stored in an airtight container.
- You can reheat homemade it either on the stove or in the microwave. Warm it slowly and stir until it's smooth and shiny.
