- quart measuring cup

Instructions
- Fill a one-cup measure with cold water or another liquid.
- Pour the water into a quart measure. Repeat three more times to fill it completely.
- Pour the quart measure into a large pot.
- Fill the quart measure again with 4 more cups. Then pour into the pot.
- Repeat the previous step two more times. This represents a total of 16 cups. You now have one gallon of liquid.
Notes
- Your cup measure should be an American cup, which is 237 ml. If you are using a Canadian or Australian (metric) cup of 250 ml, then you will need 15.1 cups in total to make one US gallon.
