How to Cook Instant Noodles
Description
The recipe starts with boiling noodles briefly according to package instructions, with an option to extend cooking time for softer noodles. After cooking, the noodles are rinsed under cold water to stop cooking and remove excess starch, then drained well. Plum seasoning powder is dissolved in hot water and combined with the noodles to ensure even flavoring. Optionally, additional toppings including fried eggs, sliced luncheon meat, and blanched vegetables such as bok choy or yu choy add texture and balance.
After tossing the noodles with the seasoned broth, a drizzle of sesame oil adds a mild nutty aroma and flavor to finish the dish. This approach allows customization of texture and toppings while maintaining the signature instant noodle taste.
The recipe is straightforward and adaptable, fitting quick meal needs with flexibility in flavor and presentation.
For noodle types needing longer cooking like thicker ramen styles, adjust the boiling time accordingly, following package guidelines to avoid over or under cooking.

- Rinse the noodles under cold water and drain well.
- Add hot boiling water to the seasoning in the serving bowl.
- Give it a good stir to dissolve.
