Instructions
- Peel your garlic cloves. Chop off the ends and then slice into medium slices.
- Get out your dehydrator accessory and load up the shelves with sliced garlic cloves. Start at the bottom and work your way up and clip each shelf into place as you do it.
- Once the dehydrator is full then load into the Ninja Foodi. Place the air fryer lid down on the Ninja Foodi and set it to the dehydrator setting.
- Dehydrate for 4.5 hours at 55c/130f or until the garlic is fully hard and breaks when you apply force.
- Then load into an airtight plastic container such as a plastic mason jar and store in a cool place for up to 1 year.
- Or optional – load into a blender and pulse until it makes garlic powder.
Notes
- Hard. Your dry garlic are dehydrated when they refuse to bend and are rock hard on touch.
- Overcrowding. Make sure you don’t have any garlic pieces on top of each other and that they are spread out when dehydrating. Otherwise, they will stick together.
- Quantity. We found that our 2 bulbs of garlic made approximately 3 heaped tablespoons of dried garlic. You can do more or less depending on what your needs are.
