How to Grill Pork Chops

It is so easy to grill perfectly cooked pork chops in just 20 minutes. Learn how to grill pork chops for a tender and flavor packed meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in pork chops
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill over medium high heat (approximately 450 degrees F).
  2. Rub the olive oil on both sides of the pork chops.
  3. Sprinkle the salt and pepper on each side of the pork chops and rub it into the pork.
  4. Place the pork chops directly on the grill (on direct heat).
  5. Grill for 2 minutes per side. Then move the pork chops to indirect heat (upper rack).
  6. Reduce the heat to medium and cook for another 10-15 minutes until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees F.
  7. Let the pork chops rest for 5-10 minutes on a plate before serving and cutting.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use an instant-read meat thermometer to make sure that the pork is cooked to a safe temperature before removing from the grill. 
  • Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.  
  • This is a basic recipe. You can easily marinade the pork is your favorite seasonings or marinade before grilling.
