Immune Booster Sweet Green Smoothie
Description
This smoothie combines tightly packed spinach and kale with unsweetened almond milk to create a green base rich in leafy vegetables. Added frozen mango, pineapple, and kiwi chunks contribute sweetness and bright tropical flavors. Freshly grated ginger and lemon juice introduce spice and tartness that complement the fruit and greens.
Blending the mixture until smooth results in a thick, consistent texture which can be adjusted by adding more almond milk if too thick. The frozen fruit helps chill the drink and contributes a creamy frozen texture.
When using fresh fruit instead of frozen, the almond milk quantity can be reduced and ice cubes added to achieve desired consistency. This flexibility accommodates ingredient availability and personal texture preference.
Ingredients
- 1 cup spinach packed tightly, roughly chopped
- 1 cup kale packed tightly, roughly chopped
- 1 ½ cups almondmilk Almond Breeze Unsweetened brand
- 1 ½ cups Mango frozen mix, chunks
- 1 ½ cups pineapple
- 1 ½ cups kiwi
- ½ teaspoon ginger freshly grated
- ½ lemon , juiced
Instructions
- Add the spinach and kale to a blender with the Almond Breeze and blend well.
- Add the frozen fruit, ginger and lemon and blend until smooth. If the smoothie is too thick, add more almond milk 1 tablespoon at a time.
Notes
- When substituting fresh fruit for frozen, start with less almond milk to avoid a thin smoothie.
- Add ice cubes to chill the smoothie when using fresh fruit instead of frozen.
