Ingredients
- 2 cups of large flake oats NOT instant or quick
- 2 cups Vanilla Kefir
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 large apples peeled and diced
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1-2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Instructions
- Combine the first six ingredients together in a large measuring cup. Divide evenly between 4 mason jars (or containers of choice).
- Combine the apples, sugar, syrup and cinnamon in a medium sized sauce pan.
- Cook until the apples have softened to your liking.
- Whisk the cornstarch and water together, then add to the pot.
- Stir to make a sauce. Remove from the stove and cool completely.
- Spoon the apple mixture over the oatmeal. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Eat and enjoy in the morning!
