Keto Bread Crumbs
Description
This mixture requires no cooking and involves combining all dry ingredients in a jar and shaking until mixed. Almond flour and flaxseed provide bulk and texture, while nutritional yeast adds a cheesy, savory note. Garlic powder and Italian seasoning introduce aromatic spices enhancing the flavor profile.
When using, foods are dipped in whisked egg to help the crumb mixture adhere, then coated and cooked by frying, air frying, or baking to a crisp exterior. The combination results in a crunchy, flavorful crust compatible with keto and low-carb diets.
The bread crumbs can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a month or frozen for longer periods. An optional substitution is grated parmesan in place of nutritional yeast, added just before use to maintain freshness.
