Lemon Honey Basil Chicken

Perfect as a meal prep or as dinner, this Lemon Honey Basil Chicken recipe is so juicy and delicious. Quickly marinated and then oven baked, these chicken thighs are full of flavour and perfect for the whole family!

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • cup honey
  • 4 tbsp basil paste
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ lemon, zested
  • ½ lemon, juiced
  • 8 boneless skinless chicken thighs

Instructions

  1. The night before or 20 minutes before you’re ready to cook, combine the olive oil, honey, basil, salt, lemon zest, and lemon juice and marinade the chicken thighs in half the marinade. Save the other half of the marinade.
  2. Heat oven to 425F.
  3. On a tinfoil lined sheet pan, lightly greased it and place the chicken thighs on it before baking for 20-25 minutes.
  4. Half way through, baste the chicken in a little bit of the marinade that you set aside by drizzling it on top of the chicken.
  5. Serve when ready with the leftover marinade that you had set aside.
