Maple Brown Sugar Oatmeal
Description
This oatmeal recipe begins with simmering rolled oats alongside liquid and seasonings such as a pinch of sea salt, cinnamon, and vanilla extract for subtle warmth and aroma. Cooking until the oats absorb most of the liquid results in a creamy texture with tender oat pieces. Adding maple syrup and brown sugar at the end creates a balanced sweetness with caramel notes. The optional cinnamon enhances the flavor complexity without overpowering the dish.
The creamy oatmeal can be served in a bowl, optionally with a splash of milk to loosen texture or provide additional richness. The straightforward cooking method focuses on traditional stovetop preparation, making it suitable for beginners or those seeking a simple, dependable breakfast.
