Maple Syrup Salmon

Maple Syrup Salmon features tender salmon fillets marinated in a mixture of maple syrup, soy sauce, mustard, and garlic, then baked until flaky and glazed. The marinade balances sweet and savory flavors, enhancing the natural richness of the salmon. This recipe is suited for a simple yet flavorful main dish that can be garnished with green onions for freshness.

Description

This recipe for Maple Syrup Salmon prepares salmon fillets by marinating them in a sauce combining maple syrup, soy sauce, whole-grain mustard, and minced garlic. The marinade infuses the fish with a sweet, savory, and slightly tangy profile. After refrigerating the fish for 30 to 60 minutes with occasional turning, it is baked at 400 degrees Fahrenheit until the salmon flakes easily and reaches the recommended internal temperature.

During baking, the skin side is placed downward, and the fish is seasoned lightly with salt and pepper. The retained marinade is spooned over the salmon after baking to add gloss and intensify flavor. Serving garnished with fresh chopped green onions adds a mild onion aroma and a fresh contrast. This dish works well as a straightforward entrée with side vegetables or grains.
