  • 2 cups whole-wheat flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup coconut sugar
  • 1 cup butter softened, unsalted
  • 2 egg large
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 3 banana mashed (about 1 1/2 cups, ripe
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (at least 70% cocoa)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9 x 5-inch pan.
  2. Whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. In another bowl, mix the coconut sugar, butter, eggs, and Greek yogurt.
  3. Gently fold the mashed bananas into the wet mixture. Blend in the dry ingredients.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture on low speed, just until it's combined and moist. Do not overmix.
  5. Melt the dark chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 30-second bursts and stirring in between, until just melted.
  6. Fill the pan, alternating between scoops of regular batter and chocolaty batter. Marble with a knife and bake for 60–75 minutes.
  7. Let the bread rest in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a cutting board. Slice.
