Maryland Bloody Mary

The Maryland Bloody Mary is a cocktail combining tomato juice, vodka, and a lick of spicy horseradish and hot sauce, seasoned with Worcestershire sauce and Old Bay seasoning—a classic Maryland touch. It’s served over ice in a glass rimmed with Old Bay and garnished with crab legs, olives, and fresh vegetables, creating a savory and smoky drink with a distinctive seasoning blend and bright, tangy citrus from lemon juice.

Description

The Maryland Bloody Mary blends tomato juice and vodka with flavorful seasonings including Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, horseradish, hot sauce, and Old Bay seasoning. The Old Bay provides a signature salty, slightly spicy flavor associated with Maryland seafood dishes and adds depth to this classic cocktail.

The drink is served chilled with ice in glasses rimmed with Old Bay seasoning for added texture and flavor at the first sip. Optional garnishes such as celery sticks, grape tomatoes, cucumber, olives, mini crab balls, or crab legs not only add visual appeal but also complement the savory and zesty flavor with fresh and briny notes.

This Bloody Mary offers a balance of spice, acidity, and umami, making it a hearty brunch cocktail or a flavorful drink served alongside seafood or light appetizers.
