Mediterranean 7-Layer Dip

This Mediterranean 7-Layer Dip layers creamy tzatziki and hummus with fresh diced cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, green onions, crumbled feta, and optional parsley. The dip offers a variety of textures and flavors from smooth, tangy sauces to crisp vegetables and salty cheese. It's served chilled, allowing the flavors to meld before enjoying with pita chips.

Description

The dip begins with homemade tzatziki made by combining softened cream cheese, diced cucumber, minced garlic, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, and dill for a creamy, herbaceous base. The hummus layer is made fresh by blending garbanzo beans, lemon juice, garlic, tahini, olive oil, salt, and ground cumin until smooth, adding reserved bean liquid to reach desired consistency.

The layers are assembled with tzatziki on the bottom, followed by hummus, then topped with fresh diced cucumbers, quartered cherry tomatoes, sliced green onions, crumbled feta cheese, and optional flat-leaf parsley. Chilling the dip for two hours before serving lets the flavors blend and the dip firm slightly.

This dip is ideal as a party appetizer or snack served with pita chips, offering a Mediterranean-inspired mix of creamy, tangy, fresh, and salty elements in each bite.
