Ingredients
- 1 lb white almond bark or white melting chocolate
- 12 golden Oreos
- 12 Gum drops cut in half
- Twizzler pull and peels
- Mini M&Ms
- Black and orange cookie icing
Instructions
- Melt the almond bark. Put the almond bark in a microwave safe bowl and cook in the microwave on 30 second increments until the chocolate is fully melted.
- Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper. Place 12 quarter sized drops of white chocolate so the cookies can fit on them. Space each drop about 2 inches apart.
- Place an Oreo cookie on to each drop of white chocolate.
- As soon as the cookie is placed onto the drop of white chocolate, use a spoon to pour white chocolate over the top of the cookie. Make sure the cookie is completely covered including the sides.
- Put a half gumdrop onto each side of the cookies. Then with the Twizzler, pull a small piece off and place it over and around each gumdrop to make earmuffs for the snowman.
- Then make little buttons with the mini M&Ms.
- With the cookie icing, pipe on two eyes with the black icing and a nose with the orange icing.
- Let the chocolate set before serving. This can be done at room temperature or in the fridge for faster setting.
Notes
- Avoid white chocolate chips as best you can. They’re a fine alternative in a pinch, but white almond bark or melting chocolate melts much better and has a brighter white color than chocolate chips do.
- Don’t forget to line the baking sheet with parchment paper. They’re much easier to peel off and make it easier to clean up.
- Skip the gumdrop earmuffs and opt for mini Reese’s peanut butter cups to use as a hat instead! Or do some of each.
- Use any flavor of the Oreo cookie you prefer. The Golden vanilla is lighter in color but any will do. You could even use a winter flavored one like red velvet, mint, or peppermint!
- Store-bought icing is great because it hardens and sets very quickly.
