Mexican Bean Dip

Mexican Bean Dip blends refried beans, sour cream, and cream cheese with taco seasoning and salsa, topped with shredded Mexican cheese and baked until bubbly. This layered hot dip offers a creamy, slightly spicy flavor ideal for serving with tortilla chips or as a side. Optional toppings like tomatoes, cilantro, onion, or avocado can add fresh contrast and texture.

Description

The dip is prepared by mixing refried beans with sour cream and softened cream cheese to create a smooth base. Taco seasoning and salsa add several layers of flavor, while shredded Mexican cheese on top melts during baking to add richness. Baking at 350°F for about 25 minutes melds the layers and produces a hot, creamy dip.

This dish works well as a party snack or appetizer for gatherings, especially paired with crunchy tortilla chips. The dip can be customized or topped with fresh vegetables to add brightness or texture contrast.

For convenience, the filling can be combined ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator. Leftovers keep well refrigerated for a few days or can be frozen for up to three months. Reheating in an oven or microwave helps restore the creamy texture.
