Orange Fluff Salad
Report
Orange Fluff Salad tastes like a creamsicle in a bowl! It has a dreamy, creamy orange-vanilla flavor that is super addicting! Orange fluff jello salad is a vibrant and creamy dish that's a combination of dessert and salad. It's truly amazing with the ultimate citrusy tang of oranges and the sweet fluffiness of marshmallows and whipped cream.

Ingredients
- 1 3 ounce package orange flavored gelatin
- 1 ½ cups boiling water
- 1 3.4-ounce package instant vanilla pudding
- 3 cups miniature marshmallows
- 1 8 ounce tub whipped topping, thawed
- 2 15 ounce cans mandarin oranges, drained well and patted dry
Instructions
- In a large bowl whisk together the orange gelatin with the boiling water, stirring until the sugars have completely dissolved.
- Refrigerate for 15 minutes or until the mixture is cool to the touch, but not yet set.
- Remove from the refrigerator and whisk in the vanilla pudding mixture until fully incorporated.
- Return to the fridge for an additional 15 minutes or until the mixture is thickened.
- Stir in the mini marshmallows until well coated.
- Carefully fold in the whipped topping and mandarin oranges, being sure to scrape the bottom of the bowl as you stir.
- Transfer to a preferred serving dish and serve chilled.
Notes
- Refrigerating Properly. Make sure you refrigerate long enough between steps (be patient) so everything sets properly and you get the best creamy, fluffy result.
- Fold Gently. Use a gentle motion when folding the whipped topping into the mixture to maintain the fluff's light and airy texture. Do not use a blender or over mix as the mixture will deflate and become dense.
- Correctly Make the Gelatin. Use boiling water to dissolve the gelatin completely and be sure to measure properly.
- Drain the Fruit. It's important to fully drain the mandarin oranges and pineapple to prevent a watery salad.
- Let it Set. Allow your mixture to set in the refrigerator for an hour before serving. This step is crucial for the ingredients to meld together properly.
- Less Sweet Flavor. If you find the salad too sweet, consider adding a small amount of plain yogurt or sour cream to mellow the flavor.
- Don't Make It Too Far in Advance. Prepare your orange fluff as close to the time of your event as possible to ensure the best texture and taste.
