Orange Ice Cream (Quick and Easy Blender Recipe!)

This orange ice cream recipe blends heavy cream, milk, sugar, fresh orange juice, and grated orange zest to create a creamy, citrus-flavored frozen dessert. The mixture is blended until smooth then frozen with periodic stirring to develop a soft ice cream texture without needing an ice cream maker.

Description

The preparation involves combining heavy cream, milk, sugar, freshly squeezed orange juice, and freshly grated organic orange zest in a blender and mixing until fully combined. The mixture is poured into a metal pan and placed in the freezer. Every hour, it is stirred to break up ice crystals and promote a smooth creamy consistency. After two such stir cycles over approximately two hours, the mixture develops the texture of ice cream that can be scooped and served in cones, cups, or glasses.

The prominent flavors come from the orange juice and zest, giving a bright citrus note balanced by rich cream. The manual stirring approach allows this recipe to be made easily at home without specialized equipment yet still yields a dessert with pleasant texture and intense orange flavor.

This ice cream is ideal for those wanting a refreshing, fruit-flavored frozen treat made with natural ingredients and a straightforward method.
